Construction of 254 MW power plant starts on Yerevan

Construction of a 254 MW combined-cycle gas turbine power plant launched in Yerevan. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the ceremony. The project is implemented by the Italian Renco company with an investment of about USD 266 million.  “The construction of a new power station in Yerevan with capacity of 254 MW is the greatest and strategic project of the Italian Renco S.P.A. in Armenia” told Simone Giovannini, Resident Branch Director at Renco S.P.A. The construction is due to be completed within 25 months after the start of construction.  “We are proud of our activities in Armenia. This is our greatest investment in Armenia, although we operate here for already 20 years”, added Simone Giovannini.
